Woman stuffs hot coal in son’s mouth for eating her fried chicken

A mother in Malawi has been arrested for allegedly shoving hot coal in her son’s mouth because he ate her fried chicken.
The 38-year-old woman identified as Julita Matias from Mulanje, went out with her husband and left their 9-year-old son Kingsley Mame at home.
They returned home and discovered that a piece of chicken that Matias had prepared for herself before leaving the house was missing.
 She accused her son of taking the chicken before beating him. She then burned his hand and put hot coal in his mouth.
The 9-year-old boy was taken to the hospital three days after the incident. This happened only because his older brother told someone what happened and the person informed the police.
Matias was arrested immediately and has been charged with child abuse.
