Who is MH370 hunter Blaine Gibson? Meet amateur investigator determined to get to the bottom of missing flight
Meet the Californian-born lawyer determined to solve the mystery of what happened to Malaysian Airlines MH370 at all costs
On March 8, 2014, Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 lost contact with air traffic control.
Since then hundreds of experts and official investigators have been
trawling through information in a bid to discover how the plane
disappeared from radar screens during a transition between Malaysian and Vietnamese airspace.
While those teams have yet to draw any conclusions - one man has taken it upon himself to try to solve the mystery.
Seattle-based lawyer Blaine Gibson has travelled the world in a bid to find out what happened.
Gibson is a lawyer with an eye for detail and has gone around the world searching for truth
The 58-year-old who now lives in Seattle, Washington, has
certainly got form when it comes to probing some of the world's greatest
mysteries.
He
once travelled Siberia to investigate the Tunguska meteor - a large
explosion that occurred near the Stony Tunguska River, in Yeniseysk
Governorate in the Russian Empire in June 1908.
Mission: the Seattle based Californian born lawyer is determined to find answers
Later he went to investigate the collapse of the Maya
civilisation, a Central American population who invented the 365 day
calendar and whose population topped topped 13 million before they
mysteriously vanished off the face of the earth in 950 AD.
He
also once travelled to Ethiopia to search for the Ark of the Covenant,
the wooden chest clad with gold which holds two stone tablets of the Ten
Commandments, according to the bible.
And he has no plans to give up his mission on MH370 anytime soon.
He once said: “I do not have a theory.
“I am just looking for evidence that may have been prematurely dismissed.”
